Who We Are

Potentials is the collective practices of licensed therapists and a doctoral-level psychologist who provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health care and psycho-educational assessment services. With a wide range of offerings and dedication to an exceptional client experience, we’re here to help. Let us connect you with one of our providers who meets you or your child’s unique needs.

Our services

  • For individuals seeking support for emotional, psychological, or behavioral challenges. Our therapists provide a safe place and support to explore and address personal concerns, develop coping strategies, and work toward personal growth and improved mental well-being. We offer therapy services for all ages, for concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction.

  • Our psychologist, Dr. Christine Hook, provides psycho-educational assessments for children and young adults (ages 3-22) for the diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders such as ADHD, dyslexia, and autism spectrum disorders.

  • Provided by Shelley Chambers, LCSW, co-parenting sessions are designed to support separated or divorced parents to create a healthy and cooperative co-parenting environment that prioritizes the well-being of their children.

  • Provided by Buffy Taylor, LCSW, LCAS, CCS, for LCSW-A and LCAS-As to hone their clinical skills and prepare for licensure.

Providing you with a safe space

In-person appointments will take place in our soothing office environment with fully private rooms, complimentary tea and water, and individualized care.

 

In-person and remote options

Our office is conveniently located off of South 17th Street in Wilmington, NC. Can’t make it into the office? No worries – we offer telehealth services too.*
